“I do.” The two simple words were among the only ones that Albedo would truly remember about the ceremony. The rest would forever be a blur of words and motions made automatically. Phrases memorized days or even weeks beforehand, none of it truly felt in the soul.
Gold said the feelings didn’t really matter, they never really had. Marriages as a whole over most of time had been contracts, after all. This was no different. Kaeya Ragnvindr came with a dowry, not that Albedo needed the money, but it was proof that Gold was right. This was a contract, not a meeting of feelings as the blurry ceremony would suggest.

With Daemon’s Night just on the horizon, Nyx has had more than enough. It doesn’t help that Scientia himself is an attractive creature, and completely unruffled by the perceived rivalry. A real thorn in his side, to say the least.

Ignis had planned to never return home, but after his estranged uncle dies, he is the only one left to put the man’s final affairs in order. He’d known going back would be difficult, but he hadn’t expected to discover an old family secret that made him completely reevaluate everything he’d thought he’d known about his uncle, or to end up in trouble with the law as a consequence. Distraction comes in the form a sudden and unexpected attraction to three local men: a bubbly technician at the crematorium, a soft-spoken representative at a local landscaping company, and the beefy owner of a nearby adult bookstore, all three of whom happen to also be friends. It’s only with their help that Ignis is finally able to navigate through these difficult circumstances . . . and perhaps even find something he’d been missing along the way.
