    Summary

He doesn’t know many things. He knows that his name is Hunter. He knows that he… no. He doesn’t know that. He’s surely not the Golden Guard, not anymore. The moment Belos found him, the moment he heard that-

"You make these things just to destroy them - you have fun with it. Admit it-

It hurts every time he chooses to betray me-

Out of all the Grimwalkers, you look the most like him-"

That part of him was gone. He didn’t want it. He’d thrown it away the second he’d yanked his cloak off, loathing to feel the soft material of it pressing up tight against him, choking him, shedding it like a snake would with its skin. Once, the cloak had been comforting, something that he knew would always be there. He’d known his place, known he was the Golden Guard, known who he was and what he needed to do.

    Now he knows nothing.

[or, post hollow mind, hunter runs out into the woods knowing everything he's ever been told is a lie. a certain pair of head witches find him mid-panic attack, and do what they can to help.]

Hunter has used a scroll before.

    He has, really.

"Did you know your antennas form a little heart whenever you get flushed like that?"

Purpled's train of thoughts abruptly stopped. He stared, mouth agape. He felt his face suddenly warm in embarrassment. "...Do they?"

Tommy giggled, and unbeknownst to him, the sound set off butterflies in Purpled's chest. "They do," Tommy said. "They've been doing that since I held your hand on the couch."

Purpled had to look away; his cheeks were burning. "Oh..."

Tommy didn't speak for a moment. "I think it's kind of cute..." he said softly, his smile evident in his voice.

Purpled still hadn't gotten over it, but he smiled. He elevated his gaze to look into Tommy's eyes. "Strange how they only do that when I'm around you, then... huh?"

    ORRRRR

purpled helps tommy, then tommy helps purpled. tommy is jealous of tubbo and ranboo's relationship. tommy's smile is apparently the only thing amongst the stars that warms purpled's cold mercenary heart... history will say they were roommates;)

    Summary

There once was an empire built on prosperity and promises of a better future.

There once was a young prince, wingless yet, who stared out the window of his room and willed the world to go in his favor.

There once were two brothers and a father who despaired in the death of their youngest.

There once was a young boy, and in his bloodline lay that of the Phoenix - and when he gained his wings, they burned with the same fire that shriveled in his heart as he lay in his cell, listening to the captors who lay on the other side of the thin bars.

There once was a grown-up prince, a kid no longer, whose fire was long burnt out, whose hope had long vanished with that of his kin. Who sat in his cell and listened to Death’s calls as his feathers turned to dust around him.

There once was another boy, another prince - another half.

There once was a tattoo of a bee that shone golden on his wrist and dreams of laughter that rung in his ears of people long forgotten.
    This is his tale.
