“Are you unhappy to be back home?”
“No!” he yells, eyes widening as he whips his head to look at Techno again. He realizes himself and quickly backtracks, “I mean– I love being home. Been a while, and all that, you know.”
Techno opens his mouth, only to shut it a moment later. Tommy’s breath shakes in his lungs as the snake constricts around them. He clenches his shaky hands into fists and tries to focus on the colorful graphics that display across the screen.
Techno only lets him have a moment before saying, “Did you like college?”
“Yeah,” he lies, wincing internally at the way his voice wavers.
He wants to reach a hand inside his chest and pull the reptile from around his organs. But, they’re too busy trying to hold his seams together, the thread of his composure pulling taught.
“Do you want to go back?”
Or, Tommy returns from his first year of college and doesn’t want to go back. He fears the disappointment the news will bring.

“I know you’ll handle this well,” his old social worker had said, with a hand on his shoulder that had him tensing up. “You’re a resourceful kid, Tommy. Or, should I say, adult! Happy birthday, by the way.”
Ever since his falling out with the nicest foster family he ever had, Tommy had just been waiting to age out. He was done with taking so much and relying on others.
What Tommy doesn’t understand yet, is that helping and needing help are a part of what makes us human. But he’s about to learn.

To Satoru’s absolute misfortune, he can’t even cope. He can’t even pretend there’s a slight margin that doesn’t matter when put side by side.There’s no comforting blur, no room for denial.
He sees it clear as day: Suguru is a good few centimeters bigger.
His curiosity is sated.
Satoru absolutely hates the outcome.
Or, Satoru is sure he has the biggest dick in Jujutsu High, only to discover that belief is nowhere near the truth.

Suguru doesn’t even try to deny it; he shrugs, his mouth quirking just slightly, and Satoru feels a spark of triumph in his chest. “You had sugar on your lip.”
“Excuses. You just wanted a reason to lick it off,” Satoru scoffs, leaning in closer, the room swaying sweetly around him. His lips brush against Suguru’s ear as he whispers into it, breath hot and teasing against his skin: “You could be doing that right now, you know. I’ve got sugar everywhere if you look hard enough.”
The sharp exhale that escapes Suguru is delicious.
“Oh, you’re dangerous tonight.”
