Contentedly dozing as Tim expertly drove them home, Jack didn't notice anything was out of the ordinary, not until Tim said, "What the?" and then the wheels of their car abruptly left the road.
That woke Jack right up in a hurry. Especially when the rapid, but somehow still smooth, acceleration pushed him back firmly into his seat. Jack panic-grabbed and held onto his armrests as he asked with forced calm, "Tim, what is going on?"
