Summary
James Potter grows up by warmth, magic and an unshakeable belief in loyalty and friendship. When he starts Hogwarts in 1971, he quickly forms the Marauders with Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettergriew - his brothers in all but blood. However everything changes the moment he meet Regulus black.
Sirius´s quite, perfect younger brother becomes James constant shadow. Courosity becomes a pull James can´t fight. Each year they grow closer. By year six it´s undeniable. By year seven it´s love.
However Regulus is drowning in expectations and darkness that James can´t reach. When he discovers Voldemort´s secret, he walks onto death alone - cutting James off to protect him, but failing.
His sacrifice shatters Sirius and completley destroys James.Lily is the one who helps him breath again, gentle and fierce as she pulls him back towards life. They build something new together: marriage, a son, a future. Which all fell apart, because he trustes the person he knew the most. Peter Pettigrew, his childhood best friend.
In the end it was just the boy who lived and his story will be continued with the second book "All the stars we fallow home", by me (Butterfly_candy).

Summary
The nightmares had bled into his waking hours, twisting his reality into something unrecognizable. After that one surgery—the one where his hands trembled and fate slipped through his fingers—he failed to save her. The girl whose life had been entrusted to him, now lost forever.
The guild’s cold eyes watched, their whispers like poison in his ears, the voices familiar and relentless, dragging him deeper into a pit of despair. Guilt clawed at his mind, each memory a sharpened blade that refused to dull.
Haunted and broken, he couldn’t stay. He couldn’t face her, or the world that demanded perfection. So he left. Not a word, not a farewell—only a letter, folded and sealed with trembling hands. A confession, an apology, a goodbye. But by the time she found those cruel, final words, the darkness had already swallowed him whole. It was too late.
