She freaks out just for a moment though before she realizes it's Rick and gives a confused look instead, "Rick are- are you alright? What are you doing, you aren't drunk are you?"

After Rick and Morty's first adventure on the Citadel there's a lot of things left unsaid. Morty witnessed a lot of things he hadn't been expecting, like how alpha Ricks treated their omega Mortys and how society there seemed to deem omegas even worse than they do on earth. It has him questioning everything, will Rick be able to pull him out of this one?

Starts with 40s and a dare he makes with himself, alone in his room. It ends up here, in the shadow of her sick bed. Exhausted. Clean, mostly. Broke and back in his childhood home, a high school diploma and accidentally acquired plaque declaring him Employee of the Month! the only thing to show for thirty five years on this big, green earth.
