This is chapter 1. Probably going to keep writing till Jemily 'do it,' because the entire point of fanfiction is to completely ignore canon when it sucks. Let me know in the comments if I should post the rest of it. JJ has turned up so far in my own continuation, worried after Emily won't pic up her calls.
But maybe you'd prefer to have this as a stand alone? A fix it that explains the background behind that convo in evolution? Readers choice.

Wrote this in my notes app and before editing we were at 19 A4 pages and 4,955 words. I checked before I cracked my nuckles and buckled down. Its...not that now. Cut it off at 6,000 because its actually at 18,000 and need to break it up.
I think it would be cool to see more supernatural creature BAU fics so, I'm having a go.
This does contain Monster Smut just not in the first chapter so if you're wanting to steal lore ideas and then go write your own, go for it. Unless you use Chat GPT then go suck it.

I thought Mira's hair matched Abby and Romance too much to not make them Half siblings separated by a few centuries. They annoy the shit out of her but she loves them. Mystery is gender fluid and a system. They just looked like they could be, so I went with it. Jinu is like Rumi and supressed as fuck. Poor Abby be pining for a repressed queer. Seems to be a sibling thing as Mira is doing the same shit but with Rumi.
I have this head-canon that Mira often wears clothing that Zoey either made for her or bought for them to match because she would never reject Zoey's attempt to adopt an older sister she can rely on. Zoey is a sassy little loyal shit with an obsession with tech.

Emily pulled her phone out and let her thumb hover over JJ’s contact. With a shake of her head, she scrolled down and pressed a different contact. Emily held the phone to her ear, closing her eyes briefly to keep her control in place.
“Hey, Princess. You couldn’t-”
“Morgan.” She cut him off aggressively. “Did you drive to Baltimore? Or JJ?”
“I did. What’s going on?”
“Don’t give JJ the keys. I need you to hand her the phone.” When he was about to protest again, she added a firm “please”.
“Yeah, yeah. She’s right here.”
Emily heard the crackling of the phone switching hands and then JJ spoke into the phone cautiously. “Em, what’s wrong?”
Emily took another small breath and tried to keep her voice as calm as possible. “There was a shooting at Henry’s school. I don’t really have any information, it seemed to have just happened, but Hotch and I are on the way.” Emily powered through as JJ started sputtering. She doesn’t know what this means, only that she doesn’t feel that with Will. She knows that she loves Will but is she IN love with him? Or is that what she feels for Emily? Has real love been standing there staring her right in the face the entire time?
It’s very slow burn. It’s based around S13-S14 timeframe.
