Summary
Naomi is a girl on a mission - to become the best Starfleet officer that ever was. To aid her goal, she’s conducting a field study of a person referred to only as “Subject 001” in her files. When an alien attack interrupts her covert operation, Naomi is forced to take shelter in Sickbay. What she witnesses teaches her more about duty, courage, and leadership than she ever expected.
The comments to a recent comic I drew inspired this story as did a chat with @River_Quill. I added a splash of J/C because that’s just how I roll.

Summary
A little light read for you, inspired by having to fill in a job satisfaction survey for a third time this year (we’re an unhappy bunch of workers, but you’ll have to read on to find out of the same can be said of the crew of the USS Voyager - and, specifically, our intrepid command duo).
At least, that was the premise, but then the story sort-of grew. I can’t say much more without spoiling it though…
