“I’m doing my job and you keep teasing me.” Buck is close to Eddie, very close. He can smell the mint on Eddie’s breath and his earthy cologne.

“You’re a real pain in my ass.” Buck says with a frown and furrowed brows. Eddie laughs.
“You’d like that, huh?” Bucks eyes widen and his breath catches in his throat.Buck is cocky, of course he is. He’s young, pretty, flirty, working as a hot firefighter, and thinks he’s untouchable, nothing can bring him down. Well, except his coworker…onto his knees in a supply closet for that matter.

Buck tilts his head the other way, which is even worse, somehow. “What exactly is this about…?”
“It’s about the fact that you smoke like it’s porn.”
Buck stares.
Eddie throws up his hands. “You smoke like it’s foreplay, okay?! I can’t—Jesus—I can’t think when you do it.”
Buck’s expression does a strange thing. It falters, shifts, and then slides into something dangerous.
"Wait,” Buck says, slow and low, “are you saying you’re into it?”

Red emergency lights flicked on, the only source of light, stopping the entire elevator from being plunged into pitch black.
“Fuck,” Buck muttered under his breath, grateful that none of his cupcakes got disturbed by the sudden stop.
Buck turned toward Diaz, swallowing down his pride to be the bigger man and preparing to ask if he was okay, when he saw how wide the other baker's eyes were and how Diaz had suddenly gone several shades lighter.
