He must be tired of all of the socializing and - what had he called it? - posturing tonight, since he has carved out a seat for himself on a fancy marble bench sitting against one of the walls by the entryway. It had made him easier to keep an eye on, before. It also seems that he's had a decent amount to drink, with stemmed glasses stacked neatly up on the floor against the bench. You wouldn't have guessed it. He seems just as eloquent as ever. Maybe that was a factor in being asked for your company.
