Summary
“Hey Monkey King what, uh, what are you doing here?” MK joins in, nervous. He peeks out from behind Macaque to see the monkie’s smile grow larger, almost too large. It brings a shiver down MK’s spine.
… And when did it get so cold?
MK grips his furry arms, trying to find some warmth. Surprisingly, it doesn’t work. Even his new, fluffy fur can’t stop the weird coldness. They let a gasp out and white air is breathed into the supposedly summer night.
Uh oh.
“Mon-” MK goes to speak up, but the king's smile stretches up like a horror movie, shutting them up in fear. Nevermind. This is not his beloved mentor.
...........
Remember the coldest winter AU? I love the concept and thought I'd take a crack at it! This is also inspired by a few others works but mainly does have my own lore I made up.
(I don't remember the other works rn but will prolly list them when I do!!)

Summary
These thoughts should be the primary ones running through Obi-Wan’s mind as his gaze wanders over Cody thoughtfully. He really should be focusing on the tactical, if unnerving, stroke of genius of incorporating flight into battle, and the scientific success of making such alterations to otherwise human DNA.
… But such things are decidedly not at the forefront of the Jedi Master’s mind, despite the fact they really rather ought to be.
No, what’s captured Obi-Wan’s attention more than anything else is that… well, it’s a little embarrassing, but the wings are rather beautiful.
Or:
Obi-Wan discovers that Commander class clones have been genetically modified to hide rather a rather large secret - two of them, in fact. The problem with this discovery is that it makes it all the harder to pretend that he doesn't have a burgeoning crush on his second in command.

Summary
“These wings are your lives.”
Cody watches with a keen eye, same as any other training exercise— the way Seventeen arranges and slots any wayward feathers back into place, carefully realigning the barbules, removing any molted feathers trapped between the various layers.
“They will save your lives, but only if they’re properly maintained for optimal flight. And unlike a blaster, broken and useless ones cannot be tossed out and replaced… ”
Alpha-17 turns and gives the lot of them one of his most severe looks. Cody looks up and meets it, unwavering.
“Not without replacing the entire unit. So don’t give them a reason to.”
Or: Cody, his wings, and carving out comfort in the middle of a war.

Summary
Echo looked deathly ill.
Hunter wasn’t overly worried, though. After all, he supposed that that was just kind of Echo’s thing. What, with the pale, ashen skin, sunken face and frame, blue-tinted lips, tired, dead eyes, and missing limbs, Hunter had seen corpses that looked less dead than Echo.
But, of course, Hunter had no intentions or desires of telling the man this. Echo was still new to the team—the last thing Hunter wanted was to alienate or smother him. He didn’t want to offer or force help where it wasn’t desired, yet. Echo needed space and time to come to terms with his new reality—in body and in station. He would reach out and open up when he was ready. Hunter was sure of it.
Tech and Crosshair, as it turned out, had no such reservations.
