“I’m fine,” V insisted weakly.
“Cut the shit, V. Where the hell are you?”
V let out a long, tired breath. There was no point in arguing…she knew Judy would just hack into her phone’s location software and track her down anyway. And besides…the longer they talked, the more V wished she was here, wished she could just sit with her, even for a few minutes.
“I’m at Vik’s,” she sighed finally. “Through the alley, take the elevator up to the roof.”
“I’ll be there in five minutes,” Judy replied, and with that the line went dead.
