Mithian was as surprised as anyone that r/witches turned out to be a helpful and accurate resource on magical communities in Britain. It had certainly panned out better than BuzzFeed’s 12 Places Witches Need to Experience-article that had only sent her to crowded and charmless trend-spots. And she sure as heck hadn’t braved Craigslist since she ended up staying in that commune that was absurdly obsessed with blood magic.
This was how she ended up in front of a pub with an elaborate sign that said The Changeling in ornate, gold letters.

Summary
Camelot is a safe haven in a world ravaged beyond repair, governed by strict rules meant to ensure every piece and person contributes to their continued existence. According to the laws set by the immortal Triad ruling the city Arthur is a non-contributing piece because he doesn’t have magic, and if ever found out he’d be faced with either execution or exile. However, not all of the players on the city’s political stage agree with the laws and both sides have people who are not afraid to dirty their – or at least someone else’s – hands.
Merlin’s hands might be covered in more blood than he cares to remember, but he is no more than a pawn until he ends up in the same cell as Arthur, and they both follow Morgana Pendragon into a war that they’re bound to lose. In the end their only chance is to find a way to kill the immortals – a way the immortal witch Nimueh claims she has.

Summary
The Northmen are a hard breed, mostly concerned with the honour of battle, and being different can cast someone aside more effectively than any physical barrier. Merlin, with his gift of magic that should belong solely to women, has for a long time stood apart from the others. His precarious position as the völva’s apprentice is only protected by the favour of his foster mother, Ygraine, and her son, Arthur, with whom Merlin’s relationship is nothing short of complicated. And suddenly Arthur has a sister among the thralls and enemies among his own men, and Merlin’s carefully constructed front falls overboard faster than Thor’s lightning crosses the sky.
