RE2 remake really is a fantastic game, but after I played it (then immediately replayed it) I kept wondering what a proper A/B scenario would look like, one where Claire meets Ada and Leon meets Sherry. This is a byproduct of those musings: neither a rewrite nor full canon divergence, just... muddying the waters a little.
I have two more oneshot ideas set in this universe. Let's see if I can get them done.

There was nothing Iruka could do but agree. He looked at her, and then he did something she didn’t expect. With difficulty, he sunk to his knees and bowed until his forehead touched the floor. "Shelter him, and I'll pay any way you like."
