Really like the direction this fic is going and see a lot of potential. Caroline is a witch but I don't believe she knows yet and she has spent the past year in New Orleans with her aunt and has now returned to Mystic Falls. Upon returning she realises a lot has happened and her old friends are distant and seem to have their own little circle.

Peter wasn’t sure if he was going to faint, throw up, or cease existing entirely.
He knew he was hoping for the latter.

Peter hasn't spoken to Tony in two months - not since their argument. It had been stupid really, and looking back Peter wasn't sure if he could even pinpoint what started it, but he hadn't been back to the Tower since. He had been too ashamed of his behaviour to face Tony, and had no intentions to return. But then, his class field trip is announced - to Stark Industries.
Peter is determined to keep his head down, swallow his hurt at the genius' rejection, and get through this trip as smoothly and painlessly as possible.
Tony isn't interested in seeing him anyway.

A Peter's field trip to Stark Industries fic except Peter and Tony had a fight and he hasn't been back to the tower in months and thinks Tony hates him. And of course Tony is trying to give Peter space but as he has not seen him in a while he thinks Peter hates him. Thank god for Pepper and her ability to organise a field trip.
