Summary
“I know,” Keith says, voice hardly a whisper, though he doesn’t. “It’ll be okay,” even though it won’t. And Lance just trembles against him, a boy coming to terms with the fact that he will never see his mother again, a child coming to terms with his own death.
Lance is only dead for a moment.
A lot can happen in that time.

Summary
“I am going to kill you.” Lance was seeing red. His fingers wrapped so tightly around the blade in his hand, it felt like an extension of his own body.
“Not today, little lion.”
“If you fucking touch him I will –“
The Galra was suddenly leaning down – his yellow eyes only inches away from Lance’s. His words, a whisper in Lance’s ear: A threat; a promise. “Oh, I am not going to touch him. He is the half-breed son of the woman who murdered my sister. He is the leader of Voltron. No, I am not going to touch him…I am going to break him.”
Or: Two years after season 8, a Blade mission goes wrong, and Keith is perceived to be dead. Lance refuses to believe that, and goes in search of him. What he finds, however, is worse than anything he imagined.

Summary
Ever since Team Voltron has reunited, things have been different. Specifically, it’s been different for Keith, who told his team he was half-Galra and now finds himself wondering if it’s him or the others that want him to be thrown out the airlock. Except for Lance, who instead became his boyfriend and decided that Keith being half-Galra just meant new opportunities for more jokes. Keith isn’t sure he can say that his life is perfect or even going great, but it’s at least stable. Sort of.
So of course the Galra have to interfere and now Keith is dealing with: a comatose boyfriend, a team who thinks he’s sitting at Lance’s cryopod to attack him when he comes out, and a battle wound that makes him feel like something is growing and building inside his head.
He kind of regrets not throwing himself out of the airlock.

Summary
Everything was shifting like the tides.
They lost battles and they won others. They gained allies and defeated foes. Those they thought were enemies were now friends and their own friends were untrustworthy. Nothing was the same anymore, and they had to accept it or risk being drowned by the oncoming waves.
The only thing they could hold onto was the team and their bonds. Even as the war and universe changed around them, the Paladins would always have each other.
Right?
