Slowly, as if afraid to scare you, the skeleton extended its hand towards you. Most likely, it had no skin. Perhaps it had phalanges and bones. You doubted that a skeleton could have visible muscles. You wanted to check, casting a fleeting glance at the monster's hand.
Suddenly, you felt the pressure of something slightly sharp but strangely smooth on your cheek.
Oh.

You jumped down, expecting to never open your eyes again. But you did, and then you found a skeleton to be stuck with for the rest of your days. Just the two of you.
