Hers is a terrifying, awesome power, but he submits to it gladly. He presses fevered kisses into her neck, his unsaid paeans of love buried in each one. After a moment, she stills. She pulls his hair, trying to push him away from her neck, and he frowns. "Love," she murmurs quietly. "Love."
"Hmm?" He stops and gives her a puzzled smile, then it fades off his face as he looks her face, wan and pale, green and sickly. And in that moment, his heart knows fear.

Robert was special, Courtney always knew that.
He wasn't perfect, in the literal sense at least. He messed up here and there just like everyone else, but 9/10 times he was able to match anyone's energy and always seemed to know just what to do and say for them no matter the situation. It was no wonder he had so many people on his side with some not even bothering to hide their attraction for him.
But out of all of them he chose her. And he was just so damn perfect in her eyes, giving her his everything and then some no matter how stupid or bitchy she ever got with him. He was so impossibly perfect in fact that she couldn't help but feel worse about herself as she "failed" to satisfy him again and again in the bedroom no matter how much he said to the contrary.
And after a particular night of intense passion and love-making after a shockingly sweet gift Courtney can't stop herself from wanting to give the man more...
