Summary
When Lance is thrown through time, his future self from one year ahead is transported to the past in his place.
This Lance is faster, stronger, and markedly more mature. Not only that, but he's distinctly more intuitive about his teammates and A LOT more touchy with Keith.
The team must try and work out how to reverse the two Lance's places and restore them to their original timelines. Things only get more complicated when the Future Lance can't seem to remember where he was when the switch happened, and he refuses to reveal anything about his own time for fear of influencing the team's decisions.

The musician opens their eyes slowly. Heng’s breath leaves him. He has never seen such pretty irises before; golden and vibrant. Erge’s eyes are of similar color, but it’s not quite as breathtaking as the musician’s. Heng needs a moment to regain his bearing, just in time as he hears their smooth voice from behind the veil.

This wasn’t love in the way stories described it. This was desperation—a selfish craving for something safe, something that wouldn’t reject her or grow distant. But what else could she do? She couldn’t tell the real Dan Heng. She couldn’t even bear the thought of ruining what they had.
So, if creating a reflection of him, a digital shadow, would dull the ache for a little while, then so be it.
It’s the only way, she told herself. The only way she can ease these unbearable feelings without ruining what they have.
