Summary
The young man adjusted his pack. By day three in the snowy Canadian wilderness he’d gotten used to the weight, but it was still a struggle on this hill. Through the trees he heard whistling, interspersed with loud thwacks. He proceeded up the abandoned logging road, cautiously, until he came to a clearing.
“Wade!” he shouted in relief.
Wade looked up from the block that held the wedge of firewood he was currently working on. He leaned on his axe, shirtless. At his back was a tiny log cabin, smoke billowing from the chimney.
Wade squinted. “Who the hell are you?”
Or, Deadpool bugs out for reasons and Peter goes to find him.

Deadpool definitely wanted the Spidey-shaped forbidden fruit, and his want drowned out the voices screeching against his amygdala that if he snooped then Spidey would never forgive him and he’d lose his best friend, future father of his babies, the carne asada in his burrito, and so forth.
He did it anyway, because Deadpool didn’t make wise decisions.

“I know.” Peter responds easily with a shrug, camera bumping his sternum where it’s hanging around his neck. He’s under no illusion Wade hasn’t spotted him, he’s not been trying to hide.
“Hard not to notice a pretty thing like you.” Deadpool’s boots crunch the floor as he takes a step, testing the water, closing another inch at the lack of protest or sign of bolting. “You like to eat, baby boy?”
_In which Deadpool and Peter start dating, but Wade doesn’t know his boyfriend is Spiderman.

He sighs from where he’s prone, arms akimbo, and roof gravel digging into his spine. “I lost my job. My… other job. The one that actually pays the bills.”
He doesn’t want to dwell on why he’s telling Deadpool of all people. Surely it has nothing to do with his desperate lack of friends. MJ is in California chasing her dreams, Harry’s undergoing treatment for his mental health and isn’t allowed visitors (not that it matters since they blacklisted Peter after last time), and Gwen… Well.
And it’s not like he can talk to Aunt May without her worrying about him starving to death under a bridge or something so… Deadpool it is. Man, when did his life get this pathetic?
OR: The one where Peter and Wade are literal soulmates but don't realize it for literal years because they're literal idiots.
