“Get the fuck away from me!”
“Perimedes” Eurylochus started, carefully picking his way down the steps.
“Perimedes, control yourself” Odysseus spoke over him.
“Oh, fuck you” Perimedes huffed out, a tired, hollow sound.
Odysseus squared his shoulders, stare hardening.
“Enough” he said. “If you want to make a scene, at least wait until we’re back on the beach.”
Perimedes’ nostrils flared.
"You're a fucking hypocrite!"
Or the one where yet another tragedy has struck, tensions climb impossibly higher, and all Odysseus would like is a Fucking Break!

But grief isn't all they must contend with. There's the betrayal to deal with. The safety (or lack thereof) of staying on this mysterious island. And the guilt.

“We will do all that, and more if we think it might appease their spirits, but first, I will see Polites’ leg tended to” Odysseus said.
Eurylochus pressed his lips together. He thought he could feel Polites’ blood drying over his hands, crusting around his knuckles. He wondered why Odysseus chose to hold Polites’ hand, while Eurylochus was left holding together his opened flesh.Or the one where Polites lives.
The storm still happens.
Eurylochus still doubts.

And Odysseus is the head."The cyclops is a fraction slower, or Polites a bit quicker--whatever the twist of fate, Odysseus gets to keep his friend (and the fragile hold he's been white knuckling since Astyanax) a little longer.

Stede’s been back for a little over a week. Eleven days to be exact. In those days he might have held five total conversations with Ed.
Well, conversations might be a bit of a stretch.Ed doesn't even want him near during raids (and this is the first Stede's been a part of since his return!)
Stede's not sure how much more he can take.Then they get boarded.
And their odds don't look great.This was his ship once, and it's still his crew in danger. He knows how to pull his own weight.
If Ed won't stop giving Stede the cold shoulder long enough to listen, then Stede's just going to have to take the problem into his own hands.
