Summary
Jaskier pulled all of his focus into keeping his eyes low, demure and lovely and his scent from stinking of fear.
Though, maybe he’d like that, his traitorous mind supplied.
The man - no, the Witcher - and his mountain muscled form lounged back in the armchair. His commanding height cast a shadow over Jaskier who kneeled between his spread legs in the copper glow of the candlelit guest chamber.
OR
As one of King Radovid’s royal concubines, from an early, burdened age Jaskier had been set to the task of pleasuring the many regal and often terrifying guests the King hosted at his castle. What happens when he is tasked with pleasuring Geralt, a Witcher granted hospitality by the King after taking care of a contract on behalf of the kingdom. Jaskier just hopes to survive the encounter, but are Witcher's really as brutal as the stories would have Jaskier believe?

Summary
Jaskier smelled of pain, embarrassment and misery: a perfect cocktail of shame that Geralt had sworn to never let surround the bard again. Not after what had happened on the mountain and certainly not in the months since, where the smell of delight on his companion had subtly shifted from profoundly annoying to a scent he depended on for his own peace of mind. Somewhere along the line Jaskier’s contentment had become essential to Geralt’s own wellbeing and, no, he wasn't going to ponder why or when that change had occurred. Not while Jaskier was cupping his cut hand to his chest and refusing to look him in the eye.
OR
Geralt just wants his bard kept safe. Jaskier gets hurt anyway.

‘Yeah kid, I’m good.’ Tony said incredulously. ‘Are you!?’
Peter let out a strained breath

Shane has always had a complicated relationship with his own body.
It’s his biggest tool to success as a hockey player. He wouldn’t be where he is without the trust and care he puts into this own body. So he takes care of it as much as he can. He exercises regularly to keep himself fit and strong, fuels it with the best food and nutrients he can, does his best to listen to the cues his body gives him to rest. It’s a careful balancing act as a professional athlete, stretching his body to its limits while also caring for it deeply.
Still, he can’t deny that he feels let down by it often.
Some days it feels very unfair.
And then some days something even worse happens and that already strained relationship he has with his own body gets even worse.
