Your life should be enough to tell anyone that rock bottom does not exist. When you think you're at your worst, there's always more. So when you reunited with an old friend, you were under the assumption that life was finally offering you a consolation prize.
That was not the case. He's going to hell, and he doesn't plan on letting go now that he's found the only remaining piece of home.
