Summary
The world is an ugly place to those that don't fit in with "normal" society, especially in a world where "normal" is typically objective thanks to the appearance of Quirks. However, there's four things that some can attest to being "abnormal". Heteromorphic mutants, Quirkless people, people with "villainous" quirks, and Hunters.
For Heteromorphic mutants, it's a more social issue with them as some view them as unsightly or inhuman. For Quirkless people, it's the same but much worse as many think that the quirkless are "unevolved" or weak and shouldn't take up space in modern society. People with "villainous" quirks are socially treated like they're already villains. Hunters, though, it's not just treated like villains or others. It's being treated like a constant threat, by both people and the government.
Izuku knows this first hand, because he is one. He's had to deal with it all his life, but even so, he still wants to be a hero. He wants to help those like him and faced things like he did. He wants to leave his mark on the world as the first Hunter hero and prove that they're not all a threat.
Will he be allowed to, though?
