Summary
The first Shadow POV fic in this series!
Some members of G.U.N. are trying to seize possession of Shadow, on the claim that he was a G.U.N.-funded experiment. Shadow, obviously, is not impressed. Nor is Team Dark as a whole.
While all the nonsense with G.U.N. is going on, Shadow is also learning how he fits into the gang now that they all know of the new friendship between Sonic and Shadow.

Summary

Shadow’s legs move before he can stop them, barely closing the door behind him as he rushes over, kneeling in front of Sonic to be eye level with him.
He can smell a change in Sonic’s normal heart rate. His heart is racing, even more so than it usually is.
The change in scent sends signals to Shadow’s mind; old, instinctual ones. Ones he hasn’t had in a long time.
HELP HIM! his mind screams. HE’S GOING TO FAINT! ALERT HIM!
He shakes his head, mentally. Sonic doesn’t faint; at least, not that he’s seen.
Sonic’s not Maria.
And this isn’t a medical episode (to his knowledge); it’s a panic attack.
Although, Maria had had a lot of those, too.

OR 3 times Shadow uses his old service animal training to help Sonic, and the 1 time Sonic is able to help Shadow.
