Summary
Prowl’s doorwings flicked up. His Tac-Unit had clocked them miles back. Rumors spoke of Barbarians wandering the wastes, feral mecha lying in wait to raid unsuspecting travelers and make off with mecha to ravage as war prizes. But Prowl put no stock in baseless rumors. He was here to complete his mission and he'd do it well regardless of any Bandits' sad attempts at trying to get the jump on him.
The Constructicons come across another supply transport ripe for the picking after Scavenger picks up a lovely scent, only to find that their target's more prepared compared to the usual easy Citymecha. That was fine. Scrapper always loved a challenge.

Basically Prowl gets sent to the Lost Light for an attitude adjustment disguised as a mission and the Constructicons tag along, using the opportunity to more aggressively court their sixth now that he's essentially alone.

Summary
An ancient form of Cybertronian reproduction is rediscovered, and Megatron — despondent in his victory — finds renewed purpose in repopulating his decimated species. Unfortunately, there's a reason why the Senate eschewed the process in favor of the Matrix. It comes with many challenges and compromises, including a level of intimacy that not all Cybertronians would choose of their own volition — let alone based on arbitrary spark compatibility.
But Megatron will not be deterred. He will restore Cybertron to its former glory, whatever the sacrifices required.
(Or: In a universe where Megatron's coup against Starscream succeeded, the events of Dark Cybertron still make Megatron reassess his legacy. A timely call from Scorponok gives him a path to follow, though the ultimate destination may not be quite what he expects.)
