Summary
A space bridge accident strands both Optimus Prime and Starscream on an unknown planet, filled with mechanical monsters. Once Starscream decides that immediately stabbing Optimus in the back is a bad idea, the two form an uneasy alliance. Just until they can get off this hostile world.
But cooperation breeds grudging appreciation (and even more grudging attraction). Each uncovered secret on this mystery world brings them closer to returning to endless war. Can they keep fighting as if nothing has changed? Or will they take the chance for something new?
Assuming the planet doesn’t deactivate them first.

Some 70% G1 cartoon continuity, and then topped up with Marvel, Japanese G1, headcanons, and maybe 5% other continuities. Set roughly in the 1990s, but not with particular concern for historical accuracy.

Wheeljack looked defeated. Ratchet hated seeing him like that. He pulled some energon goodies out of his subspace. "I got some of these from Bee." He dropped a few into Wheeljack's servos. "When's the last time ya had some of these?"
"Starscream gave me some." Wheeljack mumbled, just staring down at the goodies.
Ratchet internally cursed himself. Of course that damned seeker had pulled all the stops to try and win Wheeljack's affections. But Ratchet ex-vented in relief when Wheeljack retracted his blastmask and popped one into his mouth. His finials flickered for a second. That seemed promising. But then Wheeljack froze, staring forward. His finials flashed bright red for a klik.
"What's wrong?" Ratchet asked, fearing his friend was about to start panicking again. He was right to worry.
"He just commed me." Wheeljack whispered, looking up to meet his optics.
"Who?" Ratchet asked, scared of the answer.
"Starscream."
