It's like swimming in uncharted waters all the time, at some point the constant uncertainty becomes familiar. For her part, Miko has gotten used to the uncertainty of her relationship with Ei long ago, when the lines between a friend and a lover began to become more blurred.
She could be selfish and blame Ei, but she knows it would be unfair when she was the one who started it all. Miko was the one who condemned herself to be stuck for life with Raiden Ei since she kissed her and then, she condemned herself again when she was dumb enough to help Ei in her heat once and then twice, and then, a lot of times.
Or, where Miko can't understand what kind of relationship she has with Ei and Ei's heat only makes things more confusing.

Teacher truly deserves a banquet for all the time they have bought us. The thought of the children simply relaxing like I am is lifting a bit of the weight off my shoulders. But plunging into the golden waters, a sigh rips out of me. There’s one child I still worry about.
She is still struggling. I would do anything in my power to ease her tensions, but unfortunately this is an issue no amount of power can fix.
The water flows through my fingertips; I can never truly grasp it, but I can still feel its wet remains clinging to my skin enough to know it’s there.
