The pigtailed drone scoffed at the sight of N. “Another one? Really, Tessa?”
He shrank further behind her, clutching a handful of her dress. Her hand landed gently on his shoulder, squeezing reassuringly.
“Aw, don’t be like that, J! This is N, and he’s a bit younger than you girls, so I expect you to help him out if he needs it."
