Telemachus faces the reality that of the three paths ahead, it is in the god's hands which one they thrust him down. Despite everything, he wishes for a love like his parent's, and a story grand enough to be of legends. And Penelope throughout it seeks to prepare him to win with whichever blessing he receives. This was the house built by his father and her husband, and they will not give up their home easily as they buy time.
Antinous has admired Penelope from afar for years, and now is his chance. As suitors from outside of Ithaca crowd the halls and the Queen delays her choice, risking everything in his eyes for a dead man, bitterness begins to rise up.
