He was different here. Calmer, softer, quieter. He wore track pants and hoodies and slippers. He hummed tunes under his breath as he made meals, used fabric softener and owned an iron. He woke up every morning at around the same time, got dressed, ate some fruit and went out for a run. He got back an hour later and showered, shaving and taking his time to do his hair.
