Summary
Something tugs in the center of his chest. He should be angry, furious at his brother for trying to do something to screw him over, even after years of not speaking. He’s been doing the same since they were kids, using Ilya as a scapegoat to slip out of his responsibilities and consequences for his own actions. Doing this - getting a woman pregnant that isn’t his wife and claiming it’s Ilya who has done it - is just something else to add to the list.
Instead he just looks at the picture of this tiny little boy and wonders if he’ll have freckles.

They even made it look like ESPN. According to the title, Ilya Rozanov has just signed with the Bears, can you believe it?” They both had to laugh at the ridiculous idea.
Hollander: ‘You guys are hilarious. I don’t know if there ever was a less likely scenario in the history of hockey.’
Pike: ‘Dude, it’s real! Google it if you don’t believe it. The Russian media is going crazy too!’

Or: Shane and Ilya had parallel careers with their respective teams in Canada and Russia. Following the death of Ilya's father, he is finally free to start a new life in America.
