Summary
The red phone ringing causes Dana to look up from the chart. She reaches for it and puts it to her ear, “PTMC charge nurse, go ahead medic command.”
The voice at the other end barely registers at first. Dana vaguely hears disjointed words, ‘active shooter,’ and, ‘pride parade,’ and, ‘mass casualty.’
“Got it, thanks,” she says, hanging up the phone. Dana’s eyes find Robby and calls him over. “There’s an active shooter at the pride parade,” she tells him, then, in a lower voice, “Santos is there.”

Family dinner at the Abbot-Robinavitch house felt like a military operation, a secret one that Dennis was sure was going to end terribly. After Jack spent hours at the store, he had Dennis shucking corn and snapping green beans. Dennis has seen Jack cook before, but never like this. Like a man possessed, determined in his thinking that one family dinner would be enough to fix….whatever was wrong with his family.
Dennis has only been there a week, but the tension was palpable between Trinity and Frank, and with Jack and Robby. Dennis was starting to feel like a 3rd…5Th wheel? In the family drama, not a participant, just an onlooker waiting for this powder keg to explode.
