From where he was, crouched half beneath the low boughs of the fir, Shane saw the powerful, heavy flanks of the strong, amber-brown body first.
Then he saw the man attached to it. Or, half a man.
Shane didn't really know how it worked, exactly, he wasn't a naturalist, but he wasn't an idiot.
He knew a centaur when he saw one.
Ilya is a centaur. Shane is… not and he's probably not supposed to be here either. They make something work. Something Shane can't stop thinking about… among other things.

"You're back!" Soap shifted with a grunt on the big, plush bed, pushing himself up into a sitting position with some obvious difficultly, his tail flicking out behind him as though it could counter balance the newly added weight at his front. "Bloody finally."
Ghost returns to his husband after far too long away and finds Soap looking quite a bit... rounder than when he left. They're both completely normal about it.

Ghost has hundreds of kills under his belt and he's slayed just as many monsters on jobs just like this one for Price. It's the last job of the year. It's supposed to be easy. Ghost is supposed to be halfway back south before the snow starts falling. There wasn't supposed to be a sex-starved demon involved. And Ghost certainly wasn't supposed to be bringing it back with him...
... with Ghost's half-demon bastard growing in its belly, if it was to be believed.
Ghost was going to make Price pay him double.
