Yibo makes a deal with Xiao Zhan to do a mating run.
If Yibo wins, he gets to keep Xiao Zhan as his mate and will not do any illegal dealings in Xiao Zhan’s town. If Xiao Zhan wins, Wang Yibo will let him go and will still keep his town out of illegal dealings.
It should be a win-win situation for Xiao Zhan. But it wasn’t, not when he felt like he was losing before they even began.
Or Wang Yibo makes a deal with Xiao Zhan. But there's more to it than that.

When We Ying first saw the advert, he thought it was a joke. Someone was looking for a husband and instead of going out to a bar or a nightclub to try and meet someone the old fashioned way, they had crafted a very specific set of requirements and posted it on a notice board in the local laundromat? Hilarious.
But then again…at least it would ensure that the applicants were clean and tidy. Wei Ying laughed at the flyer every week. He almost knew it by heart after a month of it hanging there untouched:
