He gives up his quiet grumbling and asks upfront, “Just to make sure we’re on the same page,” he speaks up to Marco, who sits unphased as ever at his desk, hooded eyes following his every move. “We both have the same definition of the word ‘marriage’, right?”

He tells her everything. And together, they wait for a future neither of them was meant to survive. Or a brief, shining moment where everything is right.
Summary added on 23/05/2025 - Ace 2.0 adopts his own brothers, seduces Marco and sets the timeline on fire. Good. (Or: My attempt at a time-travel fix-it where everybody lives, no one dies and Ace, now Stray, gets to rewrite fate with the family he never had.)
