“They gone yet?” Kojiro whispers into Kaoru’s ear.
Kaoru makes an annoyed noise and tries to shove him back, but all it does is press their bodies closer together in the closet they’re hiding in. Kojiro finds himself grinning, heart still pounding with adrenaline.
“Not yet,” Kaoru whispers back. It's not a surprise; the sound of the teachers yelling their names is still clearly audible. What is a surprise is the pleasant shudder that runs down Kojiro’s spine from Kaoru’s hot breath across his ear.
