    It takes all of Dorothea’s skill as an actress to pretend that’s not interesting. Instead she locks eyes with Edelgard in the mirror and smiles. “Come now, Edie. You know.” Her fingers dance across the strands of Edelgard’s hair, the braid now reaching to the base of her skull; the edge of a nail brushes the exposed skin of her neck, and Edelgard shivers. “What do you think she’d do?”

    Edelgard is frustrated—and she's beginning to frustrate Dorothea. She knows Edelgard would feel better if she just relaxed for once and got laid, but despite the fact that there are plenty of people who would be happy to help—the Ashen Demon, for instance—the Emperor's too caught up in her own head to even try. Like any good friend would, Dorothea resolves to talk her through it.
