Summary
Sokka— a civil engineer leading a regular life with his best friends— goes on a date, prompted by Toph, with her roommate, Zuko. Although he can be a bit blunt, Sokka is enamored by Zuko's cleverness and kindness. As their romance develops, Sokka begins to notice some worrying things about Zuko. Is his new maybe-boyfriend hiding something from him?
Zuko— studying writing; working on a novel— meets Sokka. At first, he's put off by his overwhelming generosity and openness, but can't help but be charmed by him. Also Zuko— a masked vigilante activist known as the Blue Spirit, who has been sabotaging the oil-money corporation Sozin Industries. Putting himself in danger to cope with a traumatic past, his reckless nighttime habits begin to raise suspicion from the new love he's found.
Or: Zuko vigilante AU. Mostly focused on his and Sokka's relationship. They learn to love and be loved in a city that's sometimes inhospitable and sometimes beautiful.

Summary
Sokka got separated from the rest of the Gaang in Gaipan, presumed dead but really just rotting on a prison ship. Zuko was banished to the 41st for his disrespect against his Father, floating around the military until he too was sent to jail for the worst crime of all: being liked more than the actual general.
There's only one thing these boys have in common: A little sister they would do anything for.
Is that enough to form a friendship for long enough to make it to the North Pole on foot, through the dangerous Whoop-up territory full of bandits and dark spirits?
Spoiler alert: No. But throw in a 40 of fire whisky and they can cobble together *something* resembling friendship.
