It was a fun read.

Summary
The near-empty pill bottle is a constant weight in the pocket of Nathaniel's joggers. He has stretched out the doses as far as he can, his head thumping and his vision blurring with half-formed visions of worlds that aren’t his. Enough to hold back the voices, but still there’s a hum in the silence, like he’s hearing a conversation through thin walls. It isn’t hearing the voices that scares him most, however; it’s the fear that if Nathaniel can hear the others, then they can hear him.
Nathaniel can’t run from the voices in his head any longer. Stay in the shadows or stand with the cluster: it’s hardly a choice at all.

Summary
Nathaniel Wessinksi can't go back to the Nest.
But he can't stay with the foxes either.With Riko trying to get Neil back to the Ravens, and back under his thumb, Neil is left with three options. Going back to the Ravens and dying, staying with the Foxes and dying- or running far, far away.
But Andrew had promised Kevin and Jean to protect him. Annoyingly, Neil- the kleiner Hase- is making it increasingly more and more difficult with each passing hour.
TLDR: Neil makes a promise to Ichirou that Kevin, Jean, and himself are better investments if they play with the Foxes than with the Ravens. But with time running out and Andrew stopping every one of his escape plans, Neil has until the end of the championships to convince himself and Ichirou he's better off alive.
DISCLAIMER: this fic is very heavily influenced by Die Free or Die a Failure by Mickey_99 (if you haven't read this fic, it's amazing!) and The Sunshine Court (where Raven Neil goes through the same healing process as Jean.)

Next practice, while Kevin was setting up, Neil made a beeline for Andrew. “I want to shoot against you.”
“We don’t always get what we want.” Andrew said, not looking up from his book.
“You have to shoot at least once anyway. Why not make it a competition?” Neil asked.
Andrew went quiet, and Neil wondered if he wouldn’t reply. But finally, Andrew asked, “Why would I?”
A smile spread over Neil’s face. He’d had the past week to decide how he wanted to play this.
