“What is there to talk about?”
“What’s there to talk about?!” Hollander scoffed, shaking his head. “You’re playing for my fucking team!”
“I know.”
“Why did you have to go and get traded?! You realise we’re going to have to see each other every day from now on, and play together, and-”
“Yes,” Ilya interrupted. He didn’t want to know how long Hollander’s list was. “I know.”
Hollander took a deep breath. “Okay, listen,” he said. “Just so we’re clear - we don’t know each other outside of playing against each other, right?”
“Right.”
“And we can’t- can’t hook up anymore.”

OR: Ilya gets traded to Montreal in October 2014. He's lonely, and angry, and he misses Boston. He doesn't know if it helps that Hollander is there or not.

Summary
Simon Eriksson never thinks about Wilhelm. He's happy, working a steady job, living alone in a sturdy apartment. He doesn't think about Wilhelm. Not since he left him, crying by the river all those years ago. Not since the Prince went home with his parents when Hillerska closed down, not since the last thing he said to him was 'I hope you have a nice summer'. They're thirty now, and Wilhelm doesn't even live in Sweden anymore...
He doesn't even think about Wilhelm when the ex Crown Prince returns to Sweden. Because Sweden is large and the odds of them bumping in to each other are slim to none.
They say the heart always tells the truth, but Simon has gotten very good at lying.
- A story of heartbreak and a connection that can never truly be broken. A story of love and anguish, hurt and laughter. A story of two boys forced to grow up. A future without one another, when they thought they would be forever. But maybe, just maybe, sometimes we can get a second chance at forever.

Summary
Ilya knew he had fucked up the moment he'd said it. But he hadn't been able to help it.
He had known earlier that day when he had double checked his refrigerator to make sure the Canada Dry ginger ale he had bought the day before hadn't sprouted wings and flown away. And he had known when he had researched easy recipes of things he could make that fit Hollander's strict performance diet earlier that week that they were playing a dangerous game.
The two of them were Rozanov and Hollander, and that was all they could ever be. Ilya knew that. They were Hollander and Rozanov to the public, to the media, to their teammates, to their coaches, and they were supposed to be that to each other as well.
But Ilya had called him Shane. And then Shane had left.
Or:
What if after the tuna melt scene when Shane runs, Ilya is the one who gets a public girlfriend. They say every action has an equal an opposite reaction... or in this case, maybe an overreaction.

Summary
Shane skated forward with an intensity he was lacking before, saw Rozanov closing in towards him fast, his jaw now so locked Shane thought it might snap. They stopped short at their mark, their skates kicking up ice. Shane stared at Rozanov’s face, then looked into the man’s eyes. Their sticks thwacked down between them. His eyes were full of an emotion Shane couldn’t decipher, but he could feel the vehemence rolling off him. Rozanov was looking into his eyes right back, and…
everything was still shades of grey. Nothing happened.or; their world is black and white until they look into their soulmates eyes, and then they see color. One of them might be lying.

Summary
Shane Hollander is 18 years old and a beta when he first competes at World Juniors in Saskatchewan. Shane's only expectation is to bring home gold. Instead, Shane unexpectedly presents as an omega during the gold medal game against Russia. Luckily, his rival Ilya Rozanov is there to help Shane, which is a good thing because Shane knows nothing about being an omega. Rozanov kindly offers to extend his stay to help Shane through his first heat.
Only months later, Shane discovers that he came home with a whole lot more than a silver medal and an unwanted new designation. Somehow he's carrying the baby of a man who lives on the other side of the world. A man who never offered his phone number and doesn't have any social media to speak of.
Somehow Shane is going to have to find a way to explain why he's suddenly pulling out of the 2009 draft, come to terms with giving up hockey and caring for a baby completely alone. All while desperately wishing he could share the joys of first smiles and the stress of sleepless nights with the alpha he's never quite been able to forget.
Or
Shane gets pregnant the first time they meet, but doesn't find out until Ilya is back in Russia with no way to contact him.
