Summary
Apophenia (/æpoʊˈfiːniə/)- the tendency to perceive patterns and connections between unrelated things.
In an effort to increase team spirit, Ted changes up the roommate assignments for away games, sticking Jamie Tartt and Roy Kent together in the hopes that they can put aside their differences. Doing so makes Roy contend with being a better captain and Jamie a better teammate. It also a shines a light on things that Jamie wants to stay hidden. Fortunately for him, Roy can’t let go of the feeling that something is wrong and when things get worse before they get better, Jamie has more than one person in his corner.
_________________In which loans aren’t terminated, James Tartt is the worst, Jamie is just trying his best but struggles with being pulled in two different directions, and Roy Kent proves that he is ride or die even for pricks he definitely doesn't even like.

Max sniffled and looked at through the glass at her step-brother. His skin was red and raw from the heat, but his face held pain that she had never seen before, not even when Neil beat him. She felt her bottom lip quiver with fear, the dread of not knowing what to do washing over her. Max peeled her hand off the window and reached for the pipe.
"Stop!"
