Summary
The figure… It's Robert. It has to be.
Waterboy tries to step back, but he stumbles on the wet floor, thudding into the shipping container beside him. Robert goes still.
His head jerks up, eyes rolling wildly to make contact. Bloodshot. He's crouched on the floor of the warehouse like an animal, low and cornered. Blood is splattered over his face, and as he lifts his head, Waterboy can tell it's streaked down his chin like he must have sunk his teeth into something and held on. When he bares his teeth, they've been licked clean.
He shakily, slowly, like the movement’s might provoke an attack, fumbles for his radio. “Guys? Uh- found- I. I Robert found- no, that's not. I found- uhm.”
(Warning changed to Mature because of the violence. Just to be safe, honestly.)

In which Robert gets blown up and Malevola intervenes. She’ll never admit it, but she might (as a part-demon) have a soft spot about the metaphysical evidence that their new dispatcher is, in fact, a good person. And she’s not gonna watch him die in a fucking lab explosion. AKA: A few missing scenes and speculation on Malevola’s whole deal.

"You're burning up, Robert," her voice is dripping with concern and it almost makes him feel bad for indirectly pushing this onto her by just being in her general vicinity. "How long have you been feeling like this?"
He waves his hand around flippantly and shrugs but his attempt at being non-chalant probably doesn't come across too well. "Just this morning–"—
