Summary
This civilization had destroyed itself and Optimus was aware of that. He had known it many years before, seeing the society around him descending into chaos. He had been doing his best to prevent it, to save what had still remained to be saved – and he had failed.
After Megatron is captured, the war seems to take a new turn – but Optimus Prime has other things in mind than putting his archenemy on trial. The Matrix, dormant for millennia, is active again, giving a faint hope: on the dead planet something might be alive again…
On the journrey across Cybertron the both leaders will have an opportunity to understand each other and the chain of events that lead to the war. And maybe there still are things that can be fixed...
