Summary
Queen Charlotte has devised a most excellent–in her opinion–system for selecting mates amongst the members of the gentry, but Penelope and Eloise find the concept equal parts barbaric and terrifying.
With both her sisters mated and married, Penelope's entrance into the Process is imminent.
When Eloise goes to Colin and begs him to help Penelope, he comes up with a plan to safeguard Penelope from ending up with the likes of Nigel Berbrooke or, God forbid, someone worse.
Trigger warnings for dub-con, if you're concerned. Essentially, the way this Process works, the Omegas don't get a lot of say in who their Alphas will be, it's down to whether the Alpha chooses the Omega and not the other way around. Also, the Omegas are bound, gagged, and blindfolded throughout this process to make sure only their scent is on offer to the Alphas.
