    Summary

    Following the battle of the Eternal Night, Arcadia has begun to recover. The media pushes out the idea that trolls aren’t real, that it was all mass hysteria, but many people know the truth. Or at least half of it. Most citizens of Arcadia don’t see a difference between the trolls and gumm-gumms, and prefer to ignore their existence altogether, if not resent it.
    Through the combined efforts of Merlin and the trollhunters, the heartstone has been repaired and trollmarket rebuilt. Everyone is going back to their normal status quo. Everyone, that is, besides Jim. Merlin wasn’t lying when he said the change would be irreversible, and now Jim has to navigate his new life as a half troll teenager.

    TLDR: movie is retconned and Jim is angsty about being a troll.

    Jim Lake traveled back in time, and it would all turn out to be fine after Toby gets the amulet. Nothing could go wrong... well, at least that was Jim's plan, but as you can probably guess it did not go according to his plan.
    First problem? He woke up. What's wrong with waking up? You would probably ask. Well, he woke up in his troll form.
    Second problem? The amulet wasn't in the canal, only Kanjigar's shattered body laid there.
