“Someone beat us here,” he realized out loud.
A tense silence fell over them. “What makes you say that?”
“Wait, I see it now,” Four gestured to the blocks pushed against the wall. “This puzzle has already been solved.”
It was far from the first time this had happened to them. More often than not, they would hear tales of monster camps and dungeons only to find the places cleared out by the time they got there. And while it was nice to see that the world could manage without heroes doing everything, something wasn’t right. If the people of the era didn’t know it was dealt with…then that implied that someone else was responsible.

Princess Zelda’s study was as clean and well organized as usual. Ravio still wasn’t quite used to seeing this room so well kept—Princess Hilda would only tidy it up if she was expecting guests. She saw no need to keep up a charade of nobility around him, and so he was among the few privy to the disastrous whirlwind of papers that accompanied a new research spiral.
“Oh, Ravio! What brings you here today? I had thought we weren’t scheduled to meet for lunch until a few days from now…”
“I…” Come on, Ravio. No running away from this. “I need to talk to you.”

They entered the gates to the fashion capital with minimal fanfare. Which was to say it was an entire disaster that was only mitigated because the guards recognized Legato and were willing to let them pass if he posed for a pictograph with them.
“Okay!” Legato clapped his hands once everyone made it through, “First step is to ask around town to hear if there’s any new rumors. Then I need to visit the boutique to catch up with the Madame and apologize for my fashion crimes, and then we go to the castle.”

You shrug. "Just traveling," you say again.
Mira's hands approach her mouth. You keep an eye on that, to make sure she doesn't start biting her nails. She says, "Do you have any plans for after this?"
Ah, your chest feels tight... You shake your head. "I dunno. I guess... I'll just go back to just traveling."
Got chills with this part, I'm obsessed with it. Fantastically written <3

Wind gets an arrow through his calf in the middle of a heated battle. In a moment of desperation, he downs a potion and gets himself directly back into the fight. This, he doesn’t realize until after the battle is over, heals the arrow inside of him.
The rest of the chain has to deal with the falling out.
