Astarion decides to give being a hero a chance. He wasn't expecting it to all collapse on him (literally AND figuratively).Rolan is an idiot, Astarion thought, not for the first time, and then when a little careful giggle came from a few of the children, he realized he’d said it out loud.
Astarion busied himself examining the collapsed wall of dirt and stone blocking their exit. He started to dig a bit towards the top, but the tumbling of stones above them caved in farther, driving him back into the tunnel. Shit.

Summary
“How long have the two of you been sleeping together?” Kim asks boldly. Jean’s movement stops. His brow lowers as he gives Kim an icy stare.
“I assure you, lieutenant,” Jean says, “that is none of your business.”
“An interesting response. Almost as interesting as your toothbrush in Harry’s bathroom,” Kim smirks. Got him now, he thinks. Jean’s eyes narrow and his glare gets colder.
“Wow, super detective! You can tell just from two toothbrushes!” Jean says, his voice dripping in sarcasm. “I don’t know, detective. Maybe he has a secret suitor. Or maybe it is mine and I got tired of having bad breath every time I slept on my best friend’s floor. Or maybe, hear me out, he just *forgot* the entire existence of one toothbrush and came home with another!” Kim takes a step back, realizing they’re no longer talking about toothbrushes.
Or: Harry and Kim get closer as Kim learns more about Harry's past and his relationship with Jean.
