Rose Tico was the head engineer for the weapons development of the New Republic's military in their exhausting fight against the Imperial Remnant and their cruel Empress Palpatine. But a series of betrayals and let downs lead her to seek revenge upon the very regime that she and her sister fought for.
Armitage Hux escaped the Imperial Remnant and his brutal father, a deep yearning in his chest for something that wasn't his upbringing. He ends up with Kylo Ren and Phasma in charge of the First Order, a terrorist organisation that has sprung into the galactic conflagration by storm.
