His entire body was different after days spent in the strange, iridescent webbing: dark, violet sinews threaded through every inch of what had once been pale skin, and gold filigree wrapped around his ribs, tracing the lines where his back brace had once been. Curling lines of gold accented his wrists and wound around his thighs, drawing Jayce’s eye downward until he gasped and averted his gaze.

Summary
(takes place about a week after Vander died in season 1)

Not only in a few days you come face-to-face with the leader of the Undercity, but later on you also babysit his troublemaking daughter. And that's how you became his uncertified employee.

Silco's had enough of constantly getting complaints from his right-hand woman and the crazy doctor about one, simple job - looking after Jinx. He couldn't do it himself, too busy taking over the Lanes. That's where you come in.
You're the most docile person he's ever met. Maybe even the most naive in the whole of the Undercity. And he's definitely not going to hold back from taking advantage of it. In his own, brutal way.
It also appears that Silco had got his eye on you for way longer than you originally thought.
